How long should my shears stay sharp after being sharpened?  On an average they should be usably sharp for 4 to 6 months; this is only a guideline.  It will depend on several factors:

  • How many haircuts you perform per day
  • The quality of the shear, including the type of steel they are made of
  • The kind of hair you are cutting
  • The quality of your last sharpening

How much does it cost to have my equipment sharpened?

How do I ship my shears and clipper blades?

  • Simply complete the Mail Order Form
  • Individually wrap your shears and/or clipper blades in newspaper, foam, bubble wrap etc., place them in a box (we use USPS flat rate boxes).
  • Double check that you have the correct address

What kind of maintenace should I do on my shears?

Do I need to send my shears back to the manufacturer to keep the warranty?

  • Please understand that the answer to that varies with the companies that you do business.  Be sure that you know what your warranty states.  Generally, sending your shears back to the manufacturer is not necessary.  It can be costly and it can take a long time to get your shears back.  We sharpen most brands of shears, but there are some exceptions.
